Amarok audio output unavailable the device is busy Solution
November 23, 2008 |
When you use Amarok while using Flash player, Skype or other applications need audio devices on Ubuntu, you may have experienced the problem of getting the error message from Amarok: audio output unavailable; the device is busy. Meanwhile the system just hangs, or that if you opened Amarok first, then the Flash will have no sound. To resolve this software application conflict is easy.
1. Open Amarok
2. Go to Settings - Configure Amarok
3. Click on the Engine tab from the left and on the page, set output plugin to “alsa”
