To install, run and use Skype on Ubuntu is simple.

First, make sure that you have multiverse enabled.

To install it,

1. Open your terminal from Applications->Accessories->Terminal

2. Type the following line of command and hit enter afterwards:
sudo apt-get install skype

3. You will be asked to enter password, this is the same as your Ubuntu login password, enter the password and hit enter

4. The installation process is automatic.

5. After successfully installed, go to Applications->Internet->Skype
